The dynamics of migration in Kosovo and Terre des hommes’ work on the reintegration of returned migrant children
Terre des hommes in Kosovo has worked over the past four years on the reintegration of returned migrant children and families. In 2018 alone, 1160 children and 456 parents benefited from our activities, in order to ensure their smooth reintegration and prevent further unsafe migration.

MISTO AVILEAN! Ensuring non-discriminatory education for Roma children in migration
Roma children engaged in migration are often excluded from compulsory education. The lack of coordination between schools in localities of origin and destination, often coupled with discriminatory attitudes towards the Roma, impede children’s access to non-disruptive and quality education. Terre des hommes (Tdh) and its partners initiated the “MISTO AVILEAN!” project to promote the non-discriminatory integration of Roma children in the education system of three countries concerned by their migration – Romania, France, and Spain.

MINT: Mentoring for integration of children affected by migration
Migrant children and youth are especially vulnerable to social exclusion. Through the MINT project, Terre des hommes and its partners aim at empowering refugee and migrant children as well as European youth to engage in new integration activities. By using an innovative mentoring programme, we will contribute to building more inclusive societies in Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
