“Building a common approach to children”

Project time frame: May 2013- May 2014

The project aims to facilitate a dialogue between professionals and the general public of the two banks of the Nistru River through connected psycho-social activities implemented in 20 communities, in order to improve the development of rural children on both banks, and to contribute towards the prevention of abuse, neglect and exploitation of children.

The expected project outcomes include:

- Experience sharing.

At least 3000 children of 20 rural communities on both banks will benefit from psycho-social activities and child friendly spaces at the local level due to a comprehensive capacity building program that will strengthen the skills of at least 40 professionals from both banks.
Professionals and the general public from both banks of the river benefit from a neutral electronic platform, used for provision and exchange of information in child protection matters, including project activities and results in Chisinau and Tiraspol. The forum has been set up here.

Research and analysis. The professionals from the left bank of the Nistru Rive benefit from a research on the impact of the psycho-social activities on child development and behaviour. The research will be focused on two types of psycho-social activities: Movement Games and Sports (MGS) and Ludoteca, delivered on both banks before and during the project.
