Vacancy: Regional Project Coordinator in the field of Juvenile Justice

Tdh is a child relief organization, operating across Europe/ Central and Eastern Europe through its Regional Office since 2006. In order to lead the implementation of a new EU-funded regional project in the field of juvenile justice and particularly in the area of diversion, Tdh is looking for a Part-time regional project coordinator.

 

Position Start Date: January 2017

Duration: Two-years

Location: Budapest - Hungary with frequent travelling in central and eastern Europe

General conditions: Part-time 50%, Local Hungarian contract 1000 - 1500 EUR net/month (pro rata), according to experience.

 

 

Main responsibilities:

Project Management:

Lead and oversee the implementation of the regional project;
Responsible for project management, adequate and timely implementation of all activities
Financial oversight on the regional project budgets
Liaison with partners and contractors
Leading the Monitoring and evaluation of the project
Ensuring all communication processes on the project, internally and externally
Responsible for implementation of all internal procedures of the organization, in particular the Child Safeguarding policies

 

Technical Guidance and leadership on Juvenile Justice and Child participation

Responsible for the quality of all research activities, development of methodologies and others
Develop the regional synopsis based on the research projects together with recommendations
Provide technical guidance for the development and implementation of the various trainings and other related capacity development activities
Develop technical articles for professionals
Lead and oversee advocacy and networking related activities
Ensure all child-friendly related processes provide for meaningful participation of children in a safe and conducive environment.

 

Profile:

Education: University degree in Law, Human Rights or relevant field

Experiences and aptitudes: At least 5 years of experiences of managing projects in the field of justice and child rights

Language: Excellent oral and writing skills in Hungarian and English C2

Extensive project management experience, particularly EU funded projects

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child rights issues and child-friendly procedures

Desirable experience in South East Europe

Ability to uphold high standards and punctually under pressure

A commitment to excellence; attention to detail
