
BRIDGE: More than 1400 care professionals and 1600 children and youth learned to tackle gender-based violence in the context of migration
Studies point to alarming accounts of gender-based violence (GBV) affecting refugee and migrant children and young people in the European Union. Through the EU-funded BRIDGE project, Terre des hommes (Tdh) and its partners strengthened the response to this issue in EU countries and empowered children and youth to better protect themselves.

A new project to reduce violence against children in 30 communities in Moldova
Physical violence and emotional abuse still represent a daily reality for many children in Moldova, both at home and at school. Terre des hommes Moldova, with the financial support of Oak Foundation, launched a three-year project aiming to prevent violence against children by engaging the entire community. About 70 teachers and school students from the 30 beneficiary communities participated in the launching event on April 12.
Handbook of the group programme for reducing pre-delinquent and criminal behaviours in children aged 10 – 13 or 14
This programme was developed by Romanian experts Mihaela Sasarman and Andrei Chişcu and contains 20 topics focused on the most frequent behaviors experienced by children, being provided for application during one academic year.
The Intervention Group Programme for Reducing Delinquent and Criminal Behaviours amongst Adolescents at Risk
This Handbook responds to one of the major needs of the juvenile justice system - that of changing children’s criminal behaviours. Delinquent behaviour amongst children is the outcome of multiple risk factors, given that the protection measures that have been taken proved to be insufficient.

Advancing participatory work with children and young people affected by sexual violence
To support professionals that engage in participatory work with children and young people affected by sexual violence and to empower young people, Terre des hommes Romania and Tdh Regional Office for South East Europe took part in a 2-year project led by the International Centre (IC): Researching child sexual exploitation, violence and trafficking at the University of Bedfordshire (UK).
Quality Mechanisms: to what extent children are the authors of the change?
Innovative approaches and political commitment are needed to improve quality mechanisms in child protection concluded the participants of the third annual ChildHub regional conference. On the 5th and 6th of December, more than 50 leading child protection professionals from 9 countries met in Tirana to discuss existing quality mechanisms in child protection and explore promising practices.

Teachers from 20 communities share their experience in promoting conscious gender-sensitive parenting
On November 8, 2017 - 30 teachers from 20 education institutions in the Ungheni, Falesti and Soroca districts took part in the wrap-up event of the "For a violence-free life of children in Moldova" project. The event was an opportunity for teachers to share their experience in implementing the programme on conscious gender-sensitive parenting.

ROBIN - an innovative learning methodology to support children affected by migration
Terre des hommes Romania together with its partners from Austria, Spain, Italy, and Bulgaria addressed this need through the 2-year project “Reinforcing cOmpetences to Build Inclusion through a New learning methodology (ROBIN)”.
